Residential Care Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our Residential Care Program.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in child protection, with experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and supporting educational, social, and recreational pursuits. You will work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and nurturing home environment, providing guidance and support to young people as they develop independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our Residential Care Program.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and support educational, social, and recreational pursuits.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and nurturing home environment.
  • Support young people in developing independence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask with ease.
  • Creative thinking and a non-judgmental approach to life.
  • A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.
