Lead Credit Risk Analytics Strategist

Great Southern Bank is seeking a seasoned professional to execute the credit risk optimisation strategy for the organisation. You will bring a highly analytical approach to the role, leveraging data and insights to inform business decisions.

In this role, you will work with internal and external partners to develop and implement end-to-end credit lifecycle strategies across all lending products, ensuring effective credit risk management practices are in place.

This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home two days a week.

You'll make an impact by :
  • Developing and designing regular reporting and analysis related to application trends, new originations, and portfolio outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development of credit risk strategies to support business objectives regarding customers, risk appetite, profitability, and growth.
  • Optimising end-to-end credit acquisitions, including the use of scorecards, serviceability assessments, business/system rules, lending origination tools, credit engines, and automation tools.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring for credit models, lending flows, portfolio concentrations, and risk limits.
  • Providing thought leadership across teams to influence the design and delivery of leading loan origination pathways.
To succeed in this role, you will have :
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk management roles within Financial Services.
  • Proficiency in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (DataBricks and/or SQL).
  • Strong understanding of credit tools and decision engines and how to create value through their use.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with the Australian market and regulations.
