Job Description:

William Clarke College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Christian Studies Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that speak to the core values of the College.

You will challenge your students to make a Christian difference in the world and encourage and equip them to excel both academically and in the range of co-curricular activities the College offers.

Your Role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that align with the College's Christian ethos.
  • Develop student capacity to understand, interact with and develop a passion for studying the Bible.
  • Encourage and equip students to become innovative, active, independent learners who collaborate and reflect on their learning.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of and ability to teach the core doctrines of Christianity.
  • Experience in teaching the Bible to young people in schools or other contexts.
  • Ability to demonstrate the impact of Christian faith in daily life.
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with teaching qualifications an advantage.
  • Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher.
  • Collegiate and a good team player.
  • Actively support the College's Christian ethos.
  • The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation.
  • Regular practicing member of a Christian church.
