Specialist Veterinary Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary nursing, with experience in referral or emergency practice. You will be confident in your clinical skills, with a thirst for learning and development. As a Specialist Veterinary Nurse with our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including anaesthesia induction and monitoring, critical nursing care, and preparing for complex surgeries. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and expertise through rotation through departments like Surgery, Internal Medicine, Imaging, Urgent Care, and Ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be flexible, with a willingness to work on a rotating roster, including some weekends and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols
  • Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient working environment

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Experience in referral or emergency practice
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a rotating roster
