Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at Prime Products Pty Ltd. As a Retail Buyer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and seasonal demands to ensure the right product mix.
  • Manage stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for better payment terms, exclusive deals, and enhanced profitability.
  • Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and pricing to optimize product selections.
  • Assist in choosing high-margin products, manage promotions, and contribute to the business's bottom line.
  • Offer a fresh product range to enhance the business's presence and customer trust.
  • Adapt promptly to shifts in the market due to changing customer preferences, economic factors, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure product availability for promotions, sales, and special events.
  • Provide input and help in maintaining stock levels that support marketing campaigns to boost sales.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Retail buying, ideally within the related field.
  • Strong understanding of ethnic food lines and industry requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a results-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach to Retail buying.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in a related field.
  • Alternatively, three years of experience can be used in lieu of qualification.
