As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a crucial role in reducing shrinkage, ensuring efficient loss prevention activities, and supporting the Selling & Service Team Members in delivering exceptional customer service.
We are currently seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team in Canberra City.
About the Role:
- Support the achievement of store shrinkage financial objectives and strategic goals
- Advocate for national shrinkage reduction initiatives and educate retail team members on loss prevention strategies
- Maintain building and team security, including providing a visible presence and utilizing store technology
- Conduct regular loss prevention and compliance checks, identifying trends and issues, and communicating them to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with local police and centre security, and provide professional support as needed
- Investigate loss prevention incidents, attend court as a witness if required, and support police activity related to criminal matters
What You'll Need:
- A current Security License and First-aid Certificate
- Experience in loss prevention, security, and customer service is advantageous
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Strong understanding of policies and procedures, with experience using computer applications
- Numeracy skills and basic knowledge of financials
- Familiarity with Police procedures
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
