Strategic Communications Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Professional to join our team at UNSW Australia.
The estimated annual salary for this role is AU$105,000 - AU$130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis key position plays a critical role in shaping the communications strategy and plan for the Student Experience (SX) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering an SX-wide program narrative, key messages, and a communications schedule of communications and engagement activities.
The Strategic Communications Professional will work closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience (DVCESE) and other stakeholders to provide strategic communications advice and deliver SX-related communication artefacts as requested.
This role reports directly to the Change Lead of the Student Experience Program and has no direct reports.
About the Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the SX Program's goals and objectives.
- Design and deliver engaging communications materials, including email campaigns, social media content, and printed collateral.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, change managers, and stakeholders to strategize, plan, develop, and deliver communications for the SX workstreams.
- Provide executive-level strategic communications advice to the DVCESE and other senior leaders within the university.
- A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams across all levels of the university.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and applying fit-for-purpose change and communications approaches and deliverables.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to navigate competing deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including visual and digital, with a people-orientated approach.
