First Nations Workforce Development Professional

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a seasoned First Nations workforce development expert to lead the implementation of our employment strategy and contribute to people and culture initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will shape attraction, progression, development, and retention of First Nations staff across the university, strengthening career pathways and creating a culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering workplace environment.

About You:

  • A First Nations person with tertiary qualification and extensive experience in First Nations workforce development or equivalent is required.
  • The successful candidate must possess knowledge of Federal and State legislation and policy relating to First Nations employment, as well as demonstrated skills in people leadership, cultural capability building, and developing workforce programs.
  • Furthermore, strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills are essential for success in this role.
