Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced General Manager Financial Crime (AMLCO) to lead our AML/CTF program, ensuring full regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisation's risk exposure, developing effective strategies to mitigate financial crime risks, and providing regular reporting to executive leadership and board stakeholders.
This role offers a unique opportunity for an accomplished Financial Crime leader to take ownership of a critical function and shape the future of AML/CTF compliance within a dynamic and highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the AML/CTF program, ensuring full regulatory compliance with Australian legislation and AUSTRAC requirements.
- Act as the designated AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO), engaging with AUSTRAC and other authorities to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Oversee transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and high-risk customer reviews to identify potential financial crime risks.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate financial crime risks, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and board stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for improvement.
