Software Solutions Engineering Role

This senior-level role focuses on helping companies become API-first and accelerate AI adoption securely.

  • Collaborate with field sales to understand customer needs for Kong's API Management & Connectivity solutions.
  • Develop trusted relationships throughout the sales lifecycle, from initial discovery to product reviews and into production.
  • Lead and manage Proof of Concepts (PoCs) during the evaluation process.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to onboard new customers and establish revenue potential with existing ones.
  • Support partners in driving customer success and outcomes.
  • Coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams to prioritize customer needs and ensure 100% satisfaction across assigned accounts.
  • Participate in lead-generating activities such as creating blog posts, leading webinars, working on industry events, etc.
Requirements for Success
  • 10+ years of experience in software and technology.
  • 5+ years of pre-sales Solution Engineering or relevant experience at a SaaS, Open-source, or Enterprise Software company.
  • Proven expertise in middleware, API management, integration, open-source technology, and Kubernetes.
  • Foundational knowledge of API Management and integration, Cloud computing trends, and open-source business models.
  • Able to present and lead discussions with C or Director level executives, Product Managers, and Engineers.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup culture.
