The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the development, planning and delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in South-East Queensland. Our team is dedicated to delivering exemplary primary healthcare to these communities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our Mob Link team at IUIH. The successful candidate will be passionate about enhancing comprehensive, culturally sensitive primary healthcare services and improving access to healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans
  • Contribute to and support a medical/primary health care team
  • Coordinate workload to achieve results and improve health outcomes
  • Work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, their leaders and health professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner qualification
  • Unconditional registration with AHPRA/Medical Board of Australia
  • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
  • Minimum five years' post-graduate experience in a primary care setting
  • Demonstrated clinical experience and ability to contribute to effectively planning and coordinating own and health team's workload

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum
