Cook Job Description

This role involves food handling, preparation and basic cooking duties, as well as maintaining a clean kitchen environment and record keeping.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in commercial food preparation and cooking, a strong knowledge of safe food hygiene practices and kitchen safety, and valid Australian work rights.

Key skills include supervising junior kitchen staff and trainees, communicating with supervisors and suppliers, and aligning with organisational values.

We are seeking a part-time cook to join our team at Gracehaven Aged Care. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in an aged care setting.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required, as well as a current police clearance.
