Job Description- Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh local ingredients while minimising waste and following menu guidelines.
The ideal candidate is experienced in food preparation and cooking with strong communication skills. Previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles are essential.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh local ingredients, while minimising waste and following menu guidelines.
- Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently, ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors.
- Work respectfully and effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.
- Previous experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Strong communication and basic budgeting skills.
- A proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do.
