About the Opportunity

A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Mandarin speaking Business Development Manager with FX experience to join EBR, a leading global payment and risk management solutions firm. You will join a specialist team offering a wide range of global payment and foreign exchange services, including foreign currency drafts, wire transfers, and risk management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain client relationships with key decision makers in the SME business sector.
  2. Identify business opportunities through sourcing prospects and evaluating their foreign exchange needs; research and analyze to ascertain actual opportunity.
  3. Identify new leads for expansion and develop new ways to grow businesses through identifying needs within the foreign exchange space.
  4. Manage client relationships via CRM system and ensure all pertinent information is updated in the system.
  5. Harvest sales channels within sales region as per the regionalized strategy and target markets. This activity includes, but is not limited to: business networking, exhibitions, and specific sponsorship events.
  6. Sell client's solution using a consultative approach, namely following a 5-step sales process to understand fully the client's needs, presenting solutions based on these needs, and fully explaining the company's value proposition and online platform.
  7. Manage client onboarding in line with regional requirements and complete full customer handover as per Sales to RMT handover process.
  8. Ensure all internal processes and SLAs are followed to ensure exemplary customer experience - escalate issues to appropriate manager and follow up on all required actions.
  9. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  11. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  12. Conduct extensive market research in order to have an understanding of how a brand can be positioned in a certain industry. This involves keeping track of competitors' product developments and marketing strategies, as well as identifying purchase patterns and emerging trends.
  13. Review spending habits, marketing efforts, values, and risk as well as analyze current business practices to identify where clients can make a substantial difference.
  14. Report weekly sales numbers to Regional Manager and update team on performance.
  15. Adhere to the performance criteria as outlined in the Sales Scorecards.

Requirements

  1. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  2. Ability to speak fluent Mandarin is a must.
  3. Professional approach to prospective clients coupled with active listening skills and an inquisitive nature.
  4. Ability to work as part of a team towards specific sales goals.
  5. University or college degree.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Excel databases, and CRM systems.
  7. Previous experience in outbound B2B phone marketing or sales.
  8. Substantiated interest in FX services and products, the foreign exchange markets, and the SME business sector.
  9. Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers.
  10. High degree of self-motivation and focus as well as effective organizational and time management skills.
