Clinical Nurse Educator Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator to join our established Peri-operative team.

  • This is a leadership role that involves providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation to graduate nurses & students.
  • You will promote a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge.
  • In addition, you will ensure staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components.

In this role, you will also attend relevant policy & procedure meetings, ward meetings and bi-monthly Education Meetings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role within the hospital. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver education programs tailored to meet the specific needs of our patients and staff. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to provide feedback and guidance to junior staff members.

We are looking for an individual who has a postgraduate qualification in a related field and has experience working in a similar role. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) (or working towards)
  • Educator experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
