Fire Systems Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of all fire systems and equipment.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining and servicing all fire systems and firefighting equipment to meet Australian Standards. This includes conducting routine inspections, testing, and servicing of fire systems – sprinklers, hydrants, hoses, and pumps. You will also be involved in the installation of new fire systems and assisting with the preparation of customer quotations and identifying remedial work.

In addition to your technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. You will need to liaise directly with clients regarding service work and isolate panels to conduct testing of the fire systems.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certification in Fire Protection (desired)
  • Demonstrated experience working with fire systems
  • An understanding of Australian Standards 1851-2012 and AS2118
  • The ability to test, repair, and install fire systems
  • A valid driver's license
  • Accreditation with FPAS (Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme) would be an advantage
