Leadership Opportunity

The successful applicant will play a key role in the daily maintenance, presentation and future development of the golf course, reporting directly to the Course Manager.

About the Role

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of all golf course maintenance operations
  • Monitor and manage plant health, including turfgrass and native vegetation, identifying pest, disease or nutrient issues
  • Lead, motivate and supervise a team of turf professionals to ensure daily tasks are completed to the highest standard
  • Uphold and improve course presentation and playability across all surfaces year-round
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) and environmental management protocols
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot turf maintenance machinery and irrigation systems
  • Accurately apply and document the use of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers in accordance with regulatory guidelines

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience leading and managing turf staff
  • Extensive knowledge of Bentgrass greens and Santa Ana fairways
  • Experience working with native vegetation
  • Strong understanding of golf and course presentation standards
  • Construction and project experience
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
