The Child and Family Health Nurse/Midwife plays a crucial role in supporting families with newborns and young children, delivering home visits, health checks, parenting support, and tailored care to strengthen early childhood health and development.
- Deliver safe, culturally respectful, family-centred care for parents, infants, and children.
- Provide home visits to families within two weeks of birth.
- Support families with parenting advice, breastfeeding, child development, and early intervention.
- Act as an advocate to help families make informed health decisions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams, and community services to ensure seamless care.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA registration, postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health, current NSW driver's licence, experience delivering child and family health services, including home visiting, strong advocacy, communication, and problem-solving skills, and commitment to working respectfully with diverse families.
Suitable candidates will have: the ability to work collaboratively with a close-knit team, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of families and children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualised care plans for families.
- Conduct health assessments and provide health education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to families.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Qualifications and Experience- AHPRA registration.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health.
- Current NSW driver's licence.
- Experience delivering child and family health services, including home visiting.
