Business Development Manager Job Description">

This sales role focuses on managing existing chemical compound product sales and developing new business opportunities in the ANZ region. Key responsibilities include developing new business, managing existing accounts, cross-selling and onboarding new customers/product lines, identifying and assessing new principals to close portfolio gaps with regional distribution services, and regularly visiting customers and potential customers with the sales team to develop strong relationships.

Main focus is on Construction and Polymer customers located across ANZ. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales within chemical compounds, preferably in coatings and/or polymers, and a strong network within the construction sector.

">Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the ANZ region, focusing on key sectors such as construction and polymer.
  • Manage Existing Accounts: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Cross-Selling and Onboarding: Develop and implement strategies to cross-sell and onboard new customers/product lines, driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Identify and Assess New Principals: Research and evaluate new partners to fill gaps in the regional distribution service portfolio.
  • Customer Visits: Regularly visit customers and potential customers with the sales team to develop strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales within chemical compounds, with a preference in coatings and/or polymers.
  • Construction Sector Network: Strong network within the construction sector, with established relationships and connections.
  • Chemical Distribution Market Understanding: Thorough understanding of the chemical distribution market in ANZ, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • New Business Identification: Proven ability to identify and progress new business opportunities, drive business growth, and negotiate effectively.
  • Planning and Implementation: Excellent level of planning, development, and implementation of sales and marketing plans.
  • Qualifications: Degree in science, chemistry, or engineering preferred, but not essential.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as required to meet customer needs and develop new business opportunities.
