About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a key leadership position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects, delivering best practice and outcomes for clients, and taking lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and supporting larger projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective mechanical designs that meet client needs
  • Coordinating with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A recognized tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems)
  • The ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across a range of large projects
  • Possession of a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry
