We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Time Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Grand Hotel in Frankston.
You will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure consistent food quality.

  • Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen team
  • Implement and manage Food Safety Plans
  • Prepare and cook menu items as per cooking guidelines and set standards
  • Work with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

The role may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Has experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment
  • Is well-versed in all kitchen areas with hands-on experience
  • Can follow and give directions when required
  • Is willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
