We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced policy manager to join our senior management team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and delivery of local government financial policy.
Key Responsibilities:- Policy Development: Develop and implement policies for local government financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to employees on financial and accounting matters related to local government.
- Team Management: Manage and lead a team of financial advisors and policy analysts, providing coaching and training as needed.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in financial management and accounting, and develop policies to reflect these findings.
- A current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers' licence or equivalent.
- Flexible working hours with a standard 37.5 hour week.
- Flexible working arrangements from home, the field, and office.
