About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Community Development team to develop and implement community safety initiatives that address the needs of our community. As a Community Development Officer - Community Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing community safety initiatives that reduce crime and increase public confidence
  • Building partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure community safety is a shared priority
  • Supporting the development of grassroots projects that empower individuals and groups to address local safety concerns
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Criminology, Social Science or other relevant discipline
  • Significant experience in a contemporary community development or related role
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current C (unrestricted) Licence
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
