Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Expert to contribute to Australia's national cyber capabilities. The successful candidate will join a secure federal environment and help shape cyber defence systems through expert assessment, integration, and design.

Main Responsibilities
  • Evaluate various systems and configurations for cyber security vulnerabilities using industry leading frameworks.
  • Deliver technical workshops and run security assessment tools to identify potential risks.
  • Develop and provide remediation recommendations for identified cyber security issues, ensuring seamless system integration.
  • Apply cyber security and privacy principles in system integration and design to protect sensitive information.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security with strong skills in threat analysis and countermeasure design.
  • Proficiency in security system design tools and techniques, including code development in Java or C++.
  • Able to assess security controls using established frameworks such as CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53.
