Protect Australia's Democratic Processes

 

Avoid threats to national security by leading the implementation and enhancement of cyber defences. Collaborate with internal ICT teams to develop security architecture that secures electoral events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets to protect Australia's democratic processes.
  • Collaborate in the development of security architecture in collaboration with internal ICT teams to secure electoral events.
  • Support incident detection and coordinated cyber response activities to maintain national security.
  • Contribute to securing electoral events, including during peak periods, with expertise in endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Sentinel or similar SIEM tools to maintain and enhance cyber security monitoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) to ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Hands-on expertise in endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security to support incident detection and response.
  • Strong system administration skills across Windows, Linux, and networking to maintain and enhance cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets.
