We are seeking an experienced Aerial Survey Specialist to join our aerial survey team and support a range of projects with high-quality drone data capture.
About the Role
As an Aerial Survey Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and conducting aerial surveys, inspections, and mapping using CASA-certified drones. You will capture accurate imagery and data to support utility locating, site mapping, and progress monitoring while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CASA-certified drones for aerial photography, videography, and data collection
- Plan and execute flight missions according to project requirements and safety protocols
- Process and deliver high-quality orthomosaic images, 3D models, and survey data
- Ensure compliance with CASA regulations including REPL and REOC certifications
- Maintain drone equipment and keep flight logs up to date
- Liaise with site teams, clients, and regulatory bodies as needed
- Monitor weather and environmental conditions to ensure safe flight operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid CASA Remote Pilot Licence (REPL) and Remote Operator's Certificate (REOC)
- Proven experience operating drones for commercial or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of drone technology, flight planning, and data processing software
- Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
