About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal - Data and Risk Analytics to join our team at Queensland Treasury Corporation. As a key member of our Funding and Markets Division, you will play a critical role in uplifting data and risk analytics across our functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of data and risk analytics strategies to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data, operations, and technology specialists to design and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain advanced data models and analytics tools to support risk management and business intelligence.
  • Provide expert advice on data and risk analytics to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data and risk analytics, with a strong background in financial markets and risk management.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with expertise in data modeling, dashboard design, and data visualization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant experience in financial services, treasury, and transformational programs, with a strong understanding of financial instruments, hedging, and derivatives.
