Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven leader to support the daily operations of our food retail business. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality, customer service, and team management.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. You will work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, provide training, guidance, and motivation, and ensure smooth, efficient service.

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support and lead team members, providing training, guidance, and motivation.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Assist with rostering, timesheets, and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Uphold health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (required).
  • Previous hospitality or food retail leadership experience.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace health standards.
