We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to improve the mental health, well-being, and rehabilitation of adults in custody.

The ideal candidate will have experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders.

You will be responsible for conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options, and delivering individual or group-based brief, skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.

About You:

  • Experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders.">
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools and rehabilitation strategies in correctional settings.">
  • Strong communication skills for engaging diverse client groups and stakeholders.">
  • Ability to apply research-based practices to offender rehabilitation.">

Requirements:

  • General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain registration upon commencement).">
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year minimum) in Psychology or Behavioural Science.">
  • Compliance with National Psychology Board and AHPRA registration standards.">
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance if engaged in secondary employment.">
