  • Build and deploy Linux Servers for on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments (AWS and Azure), promoting flexibility and scalability.
  • Administer OS Patch implementation, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Develop Ansible playbooks and roles to automate system administration tasks, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve complex system issues, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Offer technical support to internal teams and end-users, providing exceptional customer service.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following must-have skills and qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux OS administration, particularly with Redhat and Ubuntu.
  • Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Tower, GitLab, and HashiCorp Vault.
  • In-depth knowledge of DNS technologies, including BIND, DNSSEC, and dynamic DNS.
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory. An active AGSVA NV1/baseline clearance is highly preferred but not required. You should be eligible and willing to obtain one if necessary.

The following good-to-have skills and qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Proficiency in Ansible, Shell, and Python scripting.
  • Experience in application security features and hardening.
  • Broad understanding of security concepts, including SELinux, Intrusion Detection, vulnerability management, auditing, digital certificates, and Malware Prevention (Antivirus).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer or Certified Administrator (RHCE)/ RHSA certification is highly desirable.
