Senior Data Solutions Specialist

Job Description:

A dynamic and experienced Senior Data Solutions Specialist will join our highly respected Data Platforms team, driving impactful decision-making across the enterprise.

  • Bridge business needs with technical execution by translating requirements and enabling scalable, compliant data architectures using Snowflake, AWS S3, and AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements for data platform initiatives.
  • Work alongside data engineers and architects to shape solution designs and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Analyse source systems, data flows, and transformation logic to support ETL/ELT development and integration.
  • Develop and maintain artefacts including BRDs, functional specs, data dictionaries, and mapping documents.
  • Support testing and validation of data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and performance.
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and backlog grooming with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulatory and security frameworks.

For success in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in data-centric projects.
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake, AWS S3, and AWS Glue (hands-on exposure preferred).
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets, schemas, and transformation logic.
  • Experience with SQL for data profiling, validation, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, JIRA/Confluence, and CI/CD environments.
  • Excellent communication skills-able to translate technical detail into business values.
  • Exposure to other AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Athena, Redshift).
  • Experience in financial services, government, or other regulated industries.
