We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Saab Australia. As a key member of our Naval Combat Systems division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of configuration and data within our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configuration Management:
    • Develop and implement configuration management plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and manage configuration items, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    • Support configuration control and review boards, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
    • Manage configuration item status and deliver regular configuration status accounting reports.
  • Data Management Support:
    • Develop and implement data management plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Collaborate with data owners and authors to ensure project documentation is prepared according to schedule and contract requirements.
    • Coordinate reviews of documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.
    • Manage CDRL deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and accurate receipt.
    • Manage SDRL deliveries from subcontractors, supporting the technical information review process.
    • Support the coordination and evaluation of GFM deliveries, ensuring quality and content meet requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in configuration management and data management, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve configuration and data management issues.
  • Proficiency in CM tools such as Windchill, with experience in implementing and managing configuration management processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
