We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Steward to join our team at Novotel, part of the renowned AccorHotels group.
Job DescriptionThis permanent part-time role offers a minimum guarantee of 15 hours per week. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation and dishwashing.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including cutlery, crockery, and commercial equipment. Your tasks will also include recycling and removal of rubbish, as well as assisting chefs with food preparation as needed.
To ensure a safe and healthy environment, you must adhere to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines, as well as follow HACCAP hygiene, ALLSafe, and WHS requirements.
Qualifications and SkillsWe are looking for someone with great energy and a positive attitude. You should have good time management skills and a willingness to learn. Ability to multitask is essential for this role.
A professional, well-groomed appearance is a must, demonstrating pride in presentation. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays, is also required.
Prior experience in a similar role or as a Commercial Cookery student looking to gain practical experience would be ideal.
