Construction Estimator

SBR Contracting PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary cost components.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates.
- Develop comprehensive proposals and bids that meet client requirements and ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to refine estimates and address any project changes.
- Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost components.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex project documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
