We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Team Manager to lead our team of custodial staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate team in a dynamic environment.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, supervising, and leading a team of industrial officers in various skills including welding, boilermaking, and metal associated trades. They will ensure a focus on service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising staff to ensure safety and dynamic security of prisoners, staff, and visitors
  • Training, supervising, and supporting staff in all aspects of prison industries operations
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and contributing to prison and industry security management procedures

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with staff, prisoners, and other service providers in delivering integrated programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial and essential industry sectors, industry managers manual, and compliance
  • Good knowledge of OH&S policy and procedures and research and development in an industry setting

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred)
  • Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a relevant field
