About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sleep Scientist (Grade 2) to join our team in the Department of Respiratory and Sleep department.

The successful candidate will provide scientific leadership to junior scientists within the Sleep Medicine Service and assist with the ongoing development and conduct of an effective quality assurance program, including achieving and maintaining accreditation standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Sleep Laboratory, including the CPAP clinic.
  • Provide input to the structure and function of Sleep laboratory to ensure safe and efficient testing and clinical follow-up.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of computer software, instrumentation, and testing methodologies.
  • Lead training programs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous knowledge and experience across a broad range of sleep physiological measurements.
  • Previous knowledge of scientific equipment and quality assurance, including statistical measures of accuracy and reliability.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on operational excellence and team collaboration.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
