About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anatomical Pathologist to join our team at WAVELENGTH, a leading Australian private pathology service provider. As an Anatomical Pathologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis of skin diseases, working with a busy private pathology provider with exciting growth plans ahead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting appropriate tissue samples, dissecting and examining resected tissue
  • Providing expert consultation on a wide range of skin pathology cases, including melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, benign skin tumours, inflammatory dermatoses, and hair and nail pathology
  • Writing and compiling detailed clinical reports, developing and reviewing laboratory procedures, and conducting audits as required
  • Instructing and supervising biomedical team members on clinical best practices and participating in educational and marketing activities
About the Team

Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services, with a strong focus on skin cancers initially, but with plans to expand into other areas soon. We offer a competitive salary package of $300,000 to $400,000 (depending on experience), as well as an annual CPD allowance and the opportunity to educate a national network of General Practitioners, which can be a valuable source of additional income.

Essential Criteria
  • Full AHPRA Registration as a Specialist in Anatomical Pathology and Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia
  • Full working rights in Australia and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Minimum 2-5 years post Fellowship experience and ideally with some experience and a strong interest in Skin Cancers
