Key Role: Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant psychiatrist to join our mental health team in a regional area of Victoria, Australia.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide high-quality clinical care and contribute to the development of mental health services.

About the Role
  • Delivering expert clinical care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings through evidence-based practice and effective communication skills.
  • Leading and supervising junior medical staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans that reflect patient needs and promote positive outcomes.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and service improvement initiatives to enhance clinical expertise and patient satisfaction.
  • Contributing to policy development and strategic planning in mental health services to drive positive change.
About You
  • Mbbs or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
  • Additional postgraduate education in public health, research, or management.
  • Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry with a commitment to quality care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and quality improvement with a willingness to adapt to changing healthcare environments.
