Albury Wodonga Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on Surgical Ward 1. This 23-bed unit specializes in the pre and post-operative care of elective and emergency surgery/trauma patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general nursing duties, pre and post-operative monitoring and observation
- Manage IV & CVAD, comprehensive patient assessment, and escalation of deterioration
- Participate in complex wound management and multidisciplinary care planning
- Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA
- Demonstrate a person and family-centered approach to decision making and care planning
- Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework
- Ability to describe and demonstrate the utilization of evidence-based practice into own practice
- Understanding of WHS legislation as it relates to employees' responsibilities
- Ability to describe clinical governance as it pertains to nursing/midwifery
- Ability to utilize electronic information systems/software used across healthcare settings
- Part-time and full-time positions available
