Job Title: Defence Case Manager

Abrs is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Defence Case Manager to join our team. As a Defence Case Manager, you will play a critical role in providing support and guidance to Defence personnel who have been subjected to unwanted sexualised behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone-based support and client response to Defence personnel
  • Collaborate with Defence commanders and managers to promote the wellbeing of personnel involved
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed practice frameworks to support clients
  • Conduct assessments and document client progress
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve client outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for Membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)-General Registration
  • Fully registered Psychologist or degree qualified Counsellor
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at 'Baseline' level
  • Australian Citizenship

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in responding to clients who have experienced sexual assault &/or other forms of abuse
  • Experience in responding to clients in crisis or following critical incidents
  • Experience in providing guidance and support to enhance outcomes for clients
