The position of General Manager has been created to ensure the management of the Doctors on Demand service offering achieves the following outcomes:

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed a culture of clinical excellence, risk management, continuous quality improvement, and incident reporting within all areas of the service.
  • Effective leadership of all teams under the remit of the position.
  • Responsibility for the quality and compliance in all aspects of clinical operations.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Enable continuity of knowledge for Do D by ensuring comprehensive documentation of all operational and clinical processes.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of appropriately qualified and trained medical practitioners to meet the patient demand and revenue goals of the business.
  • Maintain service experience at or exceeding agreed parameters for all stakeholders in the organisation, including patients, doctors, and pharmacies.
  • Ensure quality delivery of programs for Do D and its patients and commercial clients.
  • Ensure the service offering operates within the relevant risk and governance frameworks at all times.
Requirements
  • Qualification at a degree level in health administration, management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a relevant health field.
  • Extensive senior leadership and management experience in complex health workplace environments.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, facilitation, and communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong capability in oversight of Clinical, financial, and Operational Governance.
  • Excellent written and oral skills, including demonstrated ability to write and present clearly and concisely for specific targeted groups and prepare high-level briefings, reports, papers, and correspondence.
  • Extensive experience in risk identification, assessment, and management.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying a range of evidence-informed tools and approaches to building and sustaining high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated competence in the development of quality high-quality and accurate materials, such as policies, procedures, frameworks, and training materials.
  • Excellent project planning, work planning, personal organisation, and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Highly regarded experience working within a General Practice Setting.
  • Post-Graduate Qualifications in Health Services Management.
  • Australian working rights for at least 3 years.
  • Clean criminal record – National Police Check requirement.
