Job Title: Administration Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Administration Team Leader to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hospital administration functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee hospital administration functions in areas such as front reception, pre-admissions, theatre and day surgery admissions, discharge of patients, and ward clerks.
  • Manage financial consent management, including private health funding eligibility, patient accounts, billings, debtors collection, and accounts payable.
  • Manage rosters, staffing, and supervision of staff, assist the Administration Manager with ongoing staff development, including appraisals.
  • Perform process review and ongoing change management where required.
  • Assist the Patient Administration Manager in maximising team performance through achieving team and hospital KPIs.
  • Handle enquiries and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records via Webpas.
  • Utilise MS Office applications to manage correspondence and conduct reports.

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within healthcare.
  • Demonstrated people leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Established planning and organisational skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-directed and motivated with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise.
  • Experience in managing/undertaking switchboard functions.
  • Well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken).
