Job Summary

The Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled Network and Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and guidance on current and proposed networks, telecommunications infrastructure, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the viability of, and develop specifications for, new networks and enhancements to existing telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Act as a crucial link between end-users, technical teams, vendors, and other healthcare organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of vital telecommunications networks and systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure seamless communication and data exchange across the district.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes and provide high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong planning, time management, and organisation skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills, including proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to function as a self-motivated multi-skilled analyst, working collaboratively in a team environment, with a positive proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development and support processes, including issue investigation and resolution, testing, change control management, and version control processes.
  • Current Driver's Licence and ability to travel as required.

The Mid North Coast Local Health District is a government-funded health organisation that covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres. We provide a diverse range of services to a population of approximately 215,000 people.
