Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Specialist

Our council is seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Engineer to join our infrastructure management team. This key role will provide high-level technical expertise and project leadership in the planning, delivery, and maintenance of our water and wastewater infrastructure.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects that improve water security and quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. They will oversee the operation, maintenance, and improvement of Council's water and wastewater infrastructure. Additionally, they will collect, analyse, and report data to stakeholders, as well as mentor and support junior staff to build capability in water and wastewater services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in water and/or wastewater operations.
  • Eligibility for Membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Institution).
