Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to lead and oversee electrical and instrumentation aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed to a high standard.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be part of a project delivery team supporting the Senior Project Manager. The successful applicant will have a strong background in process engineering and design, with experience in managing projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads process engineering design, managing projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Design and development of new processes or the improvement of existing ones.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensures all designs and processes adhere to relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Supports plant commissioning, development of commissioning documents, and actively leads commissioning activities.
  • Identifies process optimization opportunities to enhance process efficiencies and performance.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 12 years' direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF).
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding process safety considerations into all aspects of process engineering and design development.
  • Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemicals engineering (or related field).
  • Must be available to work onsite.
