We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Support Assistant to join our Homecare team at VMCH. As a Community Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to our valued residents, enabling them to live more fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one support to elderly members of our community, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and social and recreational activities.
- Work closely with the at-home care team to develop an in-depth understanding of clients' individual needs and preferences.
- Assist clients with transportation to and from appointments, as well as the use of aids and personal equipment.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current Victorian Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or equivalent
- Current Police Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in providing personal care, domestic assistance, and social support to older people in a community setting
