Job Role:

The Engagement Officer is a key role within the organisation, responsible for developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies to drive behaviour change.

  • This involves planning and executing campaigns to influence target audiences and promote organisational goals.
  • Additionally, the Engagement Officer will oversee research projects, analysing results to inform the development of effective communication and marketing materials.
  • Excellent knowledge of Queensland Government branding guidelines is essential, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure all marketing materials align with the organisation's style requirements.
  • A critical aspect of this role is the ability to develop high-quality communication and marketing materials within tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Collaboration with senior colleagues is also required, including support with managing creative suppliers and contributing to the delivery of organisational objectives.
  • Beyond these core responsibilities, the Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organisation.

About You:

  • A relevant qualification in communication, marketing, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies such as Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere is essential for success in this role.
  • Occasional out-of-hours work may be required, highlighting the need for flexibility and adaptability.

Licences and Registrations:

  • A current 'C' class drivers' licence with no restrictions is necessary for this role.
