Trade Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Trade Planner to join our team in Henderson, WA. As a Trade Planner, you will be responsible for developing detailed work orders for mechanical maintenance tasks that support safe and efficient execution by trade personnel on board Collins Class Submarines and within workshop environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and determine correct maintenance standards and drawings to develop consistent work packs.
  • Generation of work orders and work scope in an efficient manner in line with business and work group priorities.
  • Ensure work can be carried out safely and reliably by relevant personnel.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise and revise work plans as needed.
  • Interpret complex engineering specifications, documentation, recommendations and work instructions to support planning activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Mechanical trade qualification or engineering technician background.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance within shipbuilding, submarine, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Particularly Excel.
  • Experience with IFS ERP (Desirable, not essential).
