About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behavior Support Practitioner to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing specialist behavior support services to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and their support teams. Your expertise will play a vital role in promoting positive behavior support within our organization and enhancing the quality of life of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and delegations of Kirinari, as well as relevant national and state legislation and policy, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

  2. Develop and promote strategies to reduce Restrictive Practices across Kirinari and its customers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of relevant policy and legislation.

  3. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including individuals, families, specialist support services, and government organizations, to deliver effective positive behavior support.

  4. Design, implement, and review Positive Behavior Support Plans that address behaviors of concern and enhance the quality of life for participants.

  5. Analyze data using various tools to complete behavioral analysis and functional assessments, driving informed decision-making and service delivery.

  6. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in positive behavior support.

  7. Maintain a balanced caseload, prioritizing tasks and collaborating with the Clinical Services Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.

About You
  • You hold a relevant degree or have demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviors of concern.

  • Your registration as a core, proficient, or advanced Behavior Support Practitioner in accordance with the NDIS Capability Framework is highly regarded.

  • You possess a thorough understanding of relevant policy and legislation relating to Behavior Support and Restrictive Practices at national and state levels, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

  • You are committed to lifelong learning and working collaboratively as part of a transdisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package, inclusive of generous tax-free salary packaging options, annual leave, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Estimated Salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
