Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Patient Services Officer.

This position plays a critical part in the patient's cancer journey as their first point of contact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, adapting to an environment with ongoing change and competing priorities, and ensuring seamless scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative environment with customer focus as the top priority.
  • Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Book and confirm patients for appointments and consultations, ensuring smooth scheduling processes.
  • Billing and receipting at time of appointment, accurately processing relevant paperwork including data entry.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the clinic, continuously liaising with the team to optimize processes.
  • Manage patient records and filing of patient notes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care and customer service.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with experience in liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working independently and as part of a team, handling high volumes of patient inquiries.
  • Exceptional phone manner and attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills.
